About the Buriat, Mongolia language

Buriat, Mongolia, also known as Buriat-Mongolian, Burraad, Buryat, Mongolian Buriat, Northern Mongolian is a language of Mongolia.

It has more than 45,000 users in the Bulgan, Dornod, Hentiy, Hovsgol, Selenge, and Tov provinces: especially Russian Republic of Buryatia border area.

Dialects include; Khori, Aga. Buriat in Mongolia is a variety of Khori and differs considerably from Buriat [bxu] of China and the Russian Federation. Influenced by and mutually intelligible with standard (Halh) Mongolian [khk]. A member of macrolanguage Buriat [bua].

aught in all schools. Braille script [Brai]. Cyrillic script [Cyrl]. Mongolian script [Mong], used prior to 1941 with a resurgence since the 1990s. Phags-pa script [Phag], no longer in use. Tibetan script [Tibt], no longer in use.
